Dr. “K” considers herself “home grown.” She is a 1997 honor grad from Booker T. Washington High School, graduated magna cum laude & as a Presidential Scholar in 2001 from Norfolk State University, and received her master’s degree in Education from the College of William and Mary in 2002. Dr. “K” also has her earned her PhD, all honors in Education, Policy, Planning and Leadership from The College of William and Mary in 2012.
Dr. “K” has utilized her gifts and talents in both the education and financial planning arenas. She has over twelve years of experience as a classroom teacher, Site coordinator and administrator for Norfolk Public and Chesapeake Public Schools. She has been a licensed financial advisor for over 15 years and is also a licensed Registered Investment Advisor.
In her spare time, she loves to volunteer and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Norfolk Education Foundation and the E3 Community Foundation Inc. Dr. “K” is a foodie, she loves to discover new restaurants near and far.
Dr. “K’s” mission is to educate and motivate people on how to take control of their financial future.
